Covid 19 – Recruitment update

Here at F. Hinds and Chapelle we are pleased to say that we will still be recruiting for roles within our stores as the need arises. However due to the current circumstances and in particular social distancing regulations, we want to do this in a safe manner and one that protects potential applicants, staff and all visitors to our stores.

There will now be a 3 step process to our recruitment process after the initial application and first screening stage, which is done automatically. (Please upload your CV in either word or as a PDF)

Step 1 – Telephone Screening – we will phone the applicant to establish some key information and confirm the ongoing process.

Step 2 – Remote interviewing – Applicants that are then selected after the screening process will be invited to attend a remote Interview using a video call facility such as Microsoft Teams/Zoom or Facetime. This process will replace the normal face to face formal interview and we will seek the applicant’s permission to record this interview. Recordings will only be used for selection purposes and will be deleted after the interview process is completed.

Step 3 – The final candidate will then be asked to attend the store for an in-person second interview. This will follow social distancing guidelines and appropriate PPE (if required) will be worn by our staff and applicant if they so choose.

We feel that adopting this process will ensure the safety of our applicants and still allow us to get the most from the interview process.
